Photoblog: Joe Brooks

As a dad I only get to see the last day of camp each summer.  The facility at Cascades is excellent, but the people and the program are what’s important to me.  I love the godly influence that counselors and staff have on my daughter.  My daughter is in the picture, but since none of the faces are visible it really could represent any camper’s experience and the significant spiritual impact that staff and counselors have on campers.

I’ve always been touched by this photo…
I know Cascades Camp has had a positive influence on my children. The ride to camp was always buzzing with anticipation…The ride home was quiet with hoarse voices, a few shared stories, and then gradually they would drift off to sleep.

My daughter is the counselor in this picture…
She truely LOVES camp! Every summer she leaves Cascades Camp with fond memories of the girls shes had in her cabin. She has been blessed by each and every girl as well as the staff.

I’m so proud of her…The passion and yearning to learn about Gods love…Her desire/ability to share Gods love with others…And her compassion for every camper/child she meets.

I believe the counselors/staff she had as camper made a significant impact in her spiritual life too…
    I am eternally greatful!
    Thank You,Sandy
