 Current Prayer Requests Include:

• God’s Presence - Currently we have 11 permanent staff, 2 interns, and 7 summer staff working at Cascades.  Pray that we all would continually seek God’s presence throughout our days, working solely to glorify Him!
• Summer Planning - Right now there is a lot of planning for Bible Studies, decorations, games, schedules, work projects, menus, and so much more going on.  Pray that God would be the guiding force behind all our planning.
• Projects - Over the Memorial Day Weekend a few of our staff worked on the Deep Woods Chapel staging, but there is still more to do there and the Climbing Wall construction is steadily underway.  Join us as we pray for speedy and sturdy construction of these two larger projects.
• Summer Staff - Again, we ask you to lift our summer staff up in your prayers.  Ask God to shape their hearts and prepare them to grow as they serve Him humbly.  Pray that they would come to Cascades ready to pour out God’s love on all the kids, campers, and guests that they are working for!

 Current Prayer Requests Include:

• Memorial Day Campout - Starting on Friday we will have over 200 guests with us for Memorial Day Weekend.  Pray that God will keep everyone safe and bless each and every person who is here with a weekend of relaxation and fun!
• Guest Groups - At Cascades we have a steady stream of guests who use the facilities here to host their events.  Please join us as we constantly pray for God to move in the lives of these guests and speak to them through His creation experienced at camp.
• Campers - Pray for the hearts and minds of the campers that will be coming to camp this summer.  Ask that God would forever change their lives for His glory through their time at Cascades.

  Current Prayer Requests Include:

• Summer Staff – Once again we ask you to continue to join with us in prayer for our summer staff.  Currently we have two summer staff on board with us already, three more arrive on Friday, and others will continue to arrive as we near June 19th – when the entire staff will gather together for our staff retreat.  Pray that God will ready their hearts and minds for service at Cascades this summer!
• Outdoor Education – Right now we have several schools using Cascades for their outdoor education program.  Pray that God would use this place to teach all the 5th grade students that are here with us about His Creation!
• Spread the Word – Pray that we would be able to effectively market camp’s programs to churches, campers, and other groups that would be interested in coming and spending time at Cascades.

 Current Prayer Requests Include:

• Every year it is our prayer request that God would bring campers and guests to Cascades so that He can bless their lives.  Please join with us in praying for God’s chosen campers to come and experience Him at Cascades.
• Several of our year-round staff (and their families) have been bogged down with coughs, colds, etc…  Please pray for healing so that we all can serve 100% during this busy time of year as we prepare for campers, guests and staff to arrive.
• Continue to pray for all the preparations going on around Cascades.  From construction projects – finishing the last log cabin, building the climbing wall, reconstructing Deep Woods chapel,  to all the program projects – planning for the Rainier Kids Day Camp, working on Bible Studies, prepping for the Spring Weekends, etc…  It is our prayer that God would always have His hand in the planning process for everything done at Cascades.

  Current prayer requests include:

• Rainier Kids Day Camp is the newest addition to the programs at Cascades this summer.  This is a great out-reach opportunity for kids in yelm to come to know the Lord!  Please pray for God’s guidance as we go about planning and preparing for these 4 one-week long sessions of day camp.  
• Summer is just around the corner!  Continue to join with us in prayer for campers, guests, and summer staff – that they would grow in their relationship with God, remain safe, and enjoy their time at Cascades.
• Busy Busy Busy!  As summer is fast approaching, there are several projects, big and small, that still need to be completed.  Pray that all the preparation that goes into making Cascades “summer-ready” would go smoothly.

  Current Prayer Requests Include:

• Projects:  Cascades is in the process of several projects, including finishing up the last log cabin at Camp Timber Rock, giving the archery range a “face lift”, general maintenance of buildings, etc…  Several of these projects are

• Camp Sunday:  Cascades is sending many past and present summer staffers out to share with congregations of churches throughout the North Pacific Conference to deepen the relationships between camp and the churches it serves.  Pray that God would use these visits to spread the word about camping ministry and the ways Cascades seeks to serve God’s people!

• Vision:  Pray that God would be in all planning and vision casting for Cascades as we continually look toward the future.

  Current prayer requests include:

• Summer Planning – at this point in the year, and really all year-round, we are constantly planning and looking ahead to summer.  Pray that God would lead this process and give us vision for the things He wants to do at Cascades this summer.

• Summer Staff - we are very close to having hired our summer staff for the summer of 2009.  Pray that God would be preparing their hearts and minds for service at Cascades and pray that the last few positions available would be filled.
  

• Weather the Storm - please join us in praying that Cascades, along with everyone else, would weather this tough economic storm, and continue to serve God’s Kingdom in the same ways it always has.

Current Prayer Requests Include:

• As we all know, it is starting to get a bit cold outside, please pray that the year-round staff who are working outside would stay warm, avoid colds, and watch for ice!
• Similarly, Dan Clifford, our Special Projects Manager, is hard at work building the final log cabin at Camp Timber Rock.  Pray that this process would go smoothly and that the weather would not impact his work!
• Tomorrow is our ranch intern, Meghann “Goo” Kragness’ last day at camp.  She will be getting married in a few weeks to another former staff member.  Please join us in praying for their marriage and God’s provision as they look for housing and Meghann looks for a job.
• Again, we ask that you would continue to pray for next year’s summer staff.  We are still receiving more applications and truly desire for God to lead the entire process of hiring His chosen workers to come and serve at Cascades in 2009.

In honor of the season, this week’s prayer requests are going to be focused on some of the many things that Cascades has to be thankful for!

• Praise God for His hand in using this place to share His love with others!
• Praise God for always providing for the needs of Cascades.
• Praise God for the wonderful supporters who donate their time, resources, and most importantly their prayers!
• Praise God for leading amazing summer staff to run our facilities and programs, year after year!
• Praise God for His leading for the future of the ministry of Cascades.
• Praise God for the opportunity to see Him in this beautiful place.
• And we cannot forget the thing that we should be most thankful for this Thanksgiving…Praise God for the gift of His Son!

Current Prayer Requests Include:

• Continue to pray for the recruiting of our summer staff.  We are receiving a steady stream of applications.  Please pray for the hearts of these individuals and that they would listen to God’s leading for their lives.
• Cascades is in the process of looking for a new Food Services Manager.  Pray that God would lead us to the right applicants and vice versa.
• As we are planning for the spring and summer, pray that we would be listening to God’s guidance and create programs where all campers and guests will be ministered to.
