Brightwood Week-Long Activities


Cascades Your Way is back by popular demand at Brightwood Station this summer in the form of morning and afternoon activities, for our week-long overnight camps. Campers spend time doing the things they love most by choosing week-long activities to customize their experience. When registering for camp, select one of the AM and one of the PM week-long activities. Add one-day activity options to pack the most fun into a week at camp! Make activity selections when registering either online or with the registration form provided in the brochure. *Parents, please discuss activity preference with campers before registration to ensure your child will love everything about their time at Cascades!
Brightwood Station Morning Activities:

	AM – Horse-Lovers Double Roundup (2 hrs) $105 Hop in the saddle for two back-to-back hours at the ranch! Buff up your equestrian knowledge with an hour of Sunrise Ranch sampler including trail rides, arena lessons, barn classes and games on horseback. Then jump into an hour of intensive arena lessons where you’ll learn the finer points of riding and how to better communicate with your horse!

	AM – Culinary Arts $30 Led by Cascades’ very own kitchen staff, this activity gives campers the opportunity to develop their cooking and baking skills! With the prefect combo of new projects like rolling their own fruit sushi and tending Cascades’ New herb garden, and some classic culinary favorites such as mastering the art of grasshopper pie, your child with love culinary arts!

	AM – Adventure Quest $45 Campers craving adventure will reach new heights on the climbing tower, navigate rough terrain as you ride along the Rubicon OFF-Road challenge, learn the finer points of wilderness fire-building trek down winding roads on a mountain board and aim for the bulls eye in a paintball target shoot.

	AM – Archery $35 Perfect for the archery enthusiast, you’ll start with the basics and explore shot execution, form and posture, consistency, accuracy, trick shots, rapid fire shots and more. The week will culminate with a tournament to crown the Golden Arrow Victor!

	AM – Circus Mania $25 Step right up for the activity that will ready kids to join the Ringling Bros.! Campers will explore the basics of life in the circus: learn the finer points of face painting, try-out the tightrope walk, master the art of juggling, create balloon animals, and even practice your miming skills!



	AM Camptastic $10 With an emphasis on pumping up classic camp to the extreme, Camptastic will give you a chance to do more of the best that Cascades has to offer! In this AM activity, campers will play a game of Nuke ‘Em, hike through the beautiful wilderness, adventure out to the giant killer slingshot pit, go for a win in the carpet ball tournament, and more!


Brightwood Station Afternoon Activities:

	PM – Hittin’ the Trail $60 Giddy up and head out to the backwoods of Cascades on our fine horses! Experience the beauty of the trails and test your horsemanship skills as you navigate through winding woodland paths and a fun and challenging obstacle course! Led by skilled wranglers, your time out on the trail will be exciting and the knowledge you’ll gain will make you a better rider all around.

	PM – Shooting Sports $25 Stay on target with this ultimate combination of all your favorite shooting sports! Try out archery, “giant killers” a slingshot adventure, B.B. guns, and tomahawks throughout the week. Show off your skills at the Ultimate Shootout Showdown at the end of the week and see who earns the title of Ultimate Warrior.

	PM – Brightwood Super Sampler $25 Can’t decide on an activity? The Brightwood Super Sampler offers a bit of everything! Learn to make balloon animals, visit the archery range, play with exploding toothpaste, scale the climbing wall and master the art of improv. What else could you ask for in a week at camp?

	PM – The Arts $30 Let your imagination go wild while you try five unique artistic medias. Campers will experiment with landscape and portrait photography, try out blind contour drawing, play around with differing musical techniques with the camp worship leader, create brilliant paintings, and master the art of improv!
	PM – Outdoor Experience $40 This is an activity the outdoor enthusiast will love! Travel though Cascades in a “Parkour” adventure, use a compass to navigate through a scavenger hunt complete with prizes, climb to new heights as you scale the climbing wall, and other great adventures!

	PM – Fun With Science $30 What do exploding toothpaste, dancing Oobleck, microwaving soap, balloon rockets and dropping an egg off the top of the caboose have in common? They are just some of the exciting activities that will be done throughout the week in Fun with Science! Campers will have the opportunity to experiment with reactors, test their ingenuity skills in the egg drop challenge, watch sound waves, and really have a blast with science!

	PM – Camptastic $10 With an emphasis on pumping up camp classic to the extreme, Camptastic will give you a chance to do more of the best that Cascades has to offer! In this PM activity, campers will love games including Fish Bowl and the Ecuadorian foot game, along with other fun activities such as the corn hole contest, and a flash mob and enjoy time making new friends!

	Brightwood Station – 1 Trail Ride $25 Explore the wilderness trails of Cascades on horseback in this one day adventure!
