About the Women Ministries Retreat

What do you think of when you hear the word Oasis?

The definition of Oasis is a small fertile or lush green area in a desert region, usually having a spring or well.

What some may think of when we hear ‘Oasis’ is spotting water in the distance while trekking through a hot, dry desert. This metaphor applies to our life as well when we need God, and then see Him in the distance. The promise of relaxing and growing deeper in the presence of God is exciting, motivating and gives life a purpose. Our thirst for the living water brings life to our souls. We like to think of the women’s retreat in similar terms. It becomes a place you are encouraged by other women and hear the joy of the Lord in their voices.

Our speaker Meagan Gillan, Executive Minister of Women Ministries might know what an “Oasis” feels like having just spent some time in Arizona. She has also experienced her share of hardships as a pastor’s wife and mother of four. She’s excited about the ministry and is looking forward to connecting with all of you.

This year the retreat team has some fresh new faces and ideas. We will look forward to:

  • Growing deeper with Christ- being focused on Him and getting to know Him.
  • Experiencing the Holy Spirit through His Word
  • Connecting and building relationships with women
  • Experience the fun-filled joy of Christ

Register early and save money. Registration will begin April 27 via the North Pacific Conference Women Ministries (not Cascades Camp) and we expect to have our on-line registration system up and running. The usual mailing will follow the opportune date.

We look forward to having you attend the retreat this year and take in all the glory of an experience you won’t want to miss.
